Comments  The Gray Ghost is our newest Herd Sire and we are thrilled to add him to the line-up.

He is a Gray in disguise or better yet - a stealth Gray - or a "Gray Ghost". To top it off, his fleece towers over Grays and can even hold its own against whites. We are talking about elite fleece with "Gray". He has matchstick bundling, very tiny zipper crimp, fineness and density. He really is something to get excited about. He has black gums and eyeliner and his skin is gray.

He is a son of Shades of Gray and Grandson of Silverado. His Dam was brought to the US enutero from the Canadian Peruvian Importation.

"Gray" will take the Gray genetics to higher levels by taking giant steps in progress and offers invaluable qualities for all colors . There is no reason to breed your Grays to boys who only offer color with Gray, you can have it all.

His Show career has just begun and his first show was a level 4. He was judged by the International Judge - Amanda Vandabosh and she had nothing but rave reviews of this Herd Sire.

Reserve your Breedings now - they will not last. Partnership may be considered.

Sire Type  Huacaya, Unproven
Heritage  Full Accoyo
Birth Date  8/18/01
ARI#

ARI Color  Medium Fawn

Comments

The Babe is in a league of his own! One of the few Full Accoyo Dark Med Fawns in the Country. When people get their hands on him, they comment about how is fleece is like getting lost in a bowl of butter. It is thick, rich and smooth.

We have the results of The Babe's first pairing. We bred him to a beautiful girl who has solid conformation and good staple, yet she needed crimp, density, coverage and top knot. That is a big order, but we were confident that The Babe could pull it off.

She was born fall of 2004 and what a beauty! Her name is Camille and at just 6 months old competed at the MOPACA show. Not only did she stand proudly at the top of her class, she went on to take the Color Champion for the light class. That was a win out of 35 animals!

The Babe also has an amazing Silver Gray boy on the ground named Tamerlane (see link below). This young male just took the Blue Ribbon at the Maryland Show - Spring 2006.

These ones are a little young to show just yet -- but come fall of 2006, they will be crashing the gates of the big shows. They are Ellie May and RosaCoyo. Be sure to check them out on their own pages.

Breedings are limited, so reserve yours today.

Shangri La’s family tree is very strong.

Shangri La is a cross between the Caligula and Shere Khan lines of Accoyo. These two lines represent the top of the Plantel herd at Estancia Accoyo and

Shangri La’s father is the late West Coast Legend Accoyo Caligula, (All American Alpaca Futurity Herd sire of the Year & National AOBA Get a Sire Winner) and his mother is Accoyo Sunipani (2 time National AOBA Fleece Show Winner & National Judges Choice Award). This combination produced Shangri La’s full older brother Accoyo El Nino as well. El Nino is Pacific Crest/Accoyo America’s chosen predecessor to Caligula. El Nino's breeding fees was $10,000 until recently when Greg Mecklem completely closed his farm to outside breedings. At the 2006 National AOBA Show, a donated El Nino breeding was Auctioned off for an unheard of price of $15,000.

The apple hasn’t fallen far here folks. Like father like Sons. When asked, “Accoyo Shangri La, how do you think your offspring will do against El Nino’s” he confidently replied “Hmmmm” and nodded as he welcomes the inevitable rivalry.

To date, this proven Herd Sire has produced offspring of many colors including Maroon and Black! They show all the traits one would expect from his Accoyo lineage. We were confident that Shangri La would let color through, but producing offspring that is darker than the Dam was an unexpected bonus.

This boy has the ability to dramatically impart quality and diversity into your herd with his exceptional bloodlines.

We are happy to announce that Autumn Alpacas have joined us in partnership on this elite Herd Sire - Accoyo Shangri La.

Depending on distance, Mobile Breedings may be available. Please call for details.

Vengador's Accoyo Tachon
Sire Type  Huacaya, Proven
Heritage  Full Accoyo
Birth Date  10/14/98
ARI#  804976
ARI Color  White with Dark Fawn Spots

Comments

Tachon is a Full Accoyo who brings top genetics to your breeding program. His fleece offers uniform and well defined character, density, and deep crimp. The sample pictured is at 5 years of age and still displays these fine qualities. Tachon is a son of Accoyo Vengador who recently sold at the Parade of Champions Sale for over $102,000.00.

Tachon is a nice size boy with wonderful presence, big bone, and a great head. To top things off, he has three large brown/fawn spots on his side and black pigment around his eyes and mouth.

The pairing of Accoyo Vengador x Accoyo Ayaviri created Accoyo Tachon for Greg Mecklem's private stock. He is now available as a Service Sire here in the Mid West! We are partners with The Heart of Michigan Alpacas, Autumn Alpacas and Double D Alpaca Farm on Accoyo Tachon.

Here is a great opportunity to add Accoyo bloodlines without sacrificing color. Tachon's first cria has hit the ground and the boy is darker than his Dam! The Dam is a Med Fawn and the cria is a Dark Fawn, as we thought, Tachon will push the color through while adding the wonderful Accoyo genetics.

Outside breedings are limited, so reserve a place for your dam today.

Benchmark's Peruvian Cupid's Arrow
(Jericho x Camilla!!!)
Sire Type  Huacaya, Unproven
Heritage
  Full Peruvian
Birth Date  2/14/2005
ARI#  Pending
ARI Color  Fawn

Comments  Price has been reduced for a limited time as part of our end of the year sale. Here is your chance to pick up some of the best and most sought after genetics for a special price. Arrow will be two in February and I am sure he will be happy to meet all of your girls in the Spring!

Arrow's Dam is Peruvian Camilla from the Alianza region. Camilla is the Dam of Peruvian Zephyrus, Camilla's Accoyanza Athena and Benchmark's Accoyanza Sweet Emotion. All of these offspring have taken Color Champion or Multiple Color Championships. Camilla lines are rare and top of the line.

Now, Arrow's sire is Peruvian Jericho. Jericho is a fawn male with an elite fleece that won First Place, Color Champion, and Judges Choice for the overall best fleece in the 2002 AOBA National Fleece Show, beating fleeces of all colors. In addition to having an elite fleece, Jericho is a bold male with excellent conformation and phenotype. Judge Julio Sumar commented that Peruvian Jericho has the kind of head he likes to see on a male.

Jericho's bloodline is also extremely hard to come by as only five outside breedings are offered each year. We have always believed that you better send your best if you are going for an outside breeding, so who better than Camilla?

Arrow's birth has been followed by breeders who know of Camilla and have followed her lines. They know what this girl can do and matched up with Jericho left us on the edge of our seat.

Our plans came to fruition on Valentine's Day when we were blessed with a little boy. All of Camilla's crias have achieved Color Champion and are truly exceptional. This boy has pushed the envelope even further.

Partnership may be considered If sold outright, Benchmark will retain 4 breedings.

Lineage
Dam
6Peruuvian Camilla, Light Fawn, 806382, Full Peruvian
Heads Up! The long awaited birth of Camilla's 2005 cria has occurred. The crossing of Jericho x Camilla has produced a male nothing short of amazing. Two inches of curly, crimpy fleece covers this little guy and the sheen is brilliant.  His name is Benchmark's Peruvian Cupid's Arrow and you guessed it - he was born on Valentine's Day. What a love. He is sassy and sweet all at the same time... just full of attitude. His IgG came in at 1933! Watch for his page to pop up when we have pictures to post.  Camilla is an Alianza girl and the results of crossing her with the Accoyo line create nothing short of amazing! Camilla stands out with her Conformation, Color, and Presence. These may be the first qualities you notice about her, but just wait until you get your hands on her. Her fleece is loaded with uniform crimp, density, and a wonderful handle. Her last three cria are all Color Champions.

Sire  Peruvian Jericho, Dark Fawn, Full Peruvian, Owned by Magical Farms.  The following is from MFI website:
We offer only five outside breedings per year to Jericho, and only to farms who have purchased from us. He is one of the offspring who made our Peruvian Dakotia (who was killed by Land O’ Lake’s feed) so popular, and you can certainly see why.

Luster! Locks! Confirmation! and Looks! This boy has got it all. He is a Accoyo Papacito Boy and his presence is captivating.

At the last show, the judge stated, "I have never seen this kind of luster on an animal".

Mostaccioli's 1st (and only) cria was born in September of 2003. Her name is Blessing and she is incredible. We took Blessing to the largest Alpaca Show ever held and entered her in the most competitive class there is - White Suri. Blessing stood proudly in first place while Jude Anderson described her wonderful luster, tiny little locks, consistency, and rock solid conformation. His next cria is due at the end of May 2004.

Too bad we do not have more girls so we could produce many "Choli" offspring.

Luster -- Luster --- Luster! Plus Bo has locks density and is a macho boy.

A Black Mac son is rare enough -- but when you add that he is half Accoyo and Black -- that makes him even more rare.

You know the quality of his Sire, but Mac is only half of this equation. Bo's Dam, Felicity, is also a show stopping girl and has won at both AOBA Nationals and AAA Futurity.

Take a look at Felicity's other cria -- two of them are full siblings to Bo. All of Felicity's offspring have been Champion or Blue ribbon winners at major shows.

Look for us at the Buckeye Show - Columbus, OH on May 6 & 7, 2006.

Comments  Iron Man -- the son of Accoyo Endurance and our Trecoyo Snowberry. That makes this boy 7/8 Accoyo but that isn't the big deal, the big deal is the quality of this guy.

Look at him, at just 1 week old, he is stunning. He has black toenails, black rims around his eyes and black pigment around his mouth. He has a Light Fawn cap around his head which runs down his neck and topline.

His Maternal Grandmother is none other than -- Accoyo America's Mulberry. The brilliant Maroon who won Color Champion after Color Champion from Futurity, MAPACA and Nationals.

By looking at his offspring, Endurance is the up and coming Herd Sire of the Year.

Iron Man is one to watch

Lineage
Dam
Accoyo America Snowberry, White, 851814, Full Peruvian
You may recognize this little beauty from the Accoyo America 2004 calendar. She was featured with her amazing mother, Mulberry, for the month of November.  Mulberry is a true Maroon and has taken numerous Champion awards. She stands out no matter where she is. Like Mother - Like Daughter. Snowberry takes your breath away with just one glance.  Mulberry is a 1/2 Accoyo out of Camilio and she was bred to the Great Accoyo Caligula. The result is the full Peruvian, 3/4 Accoyo, Snowberry. The last Caligula daughter. Snowberry has color backing her and her fiber will hold it's own against any from two white parents. She is an incredible girl who makes The Accoyo Plantel, Accoyo America, and her Sire, Caligula - very proud.
Snowberry carries a few tell tale markings from her Dam that lets us in on her secret - she covers her Dam's color! Yes, Snowberry has a few Maroon spots that we were thrilled to find.

AM Vindaloo, Medium Rose Grey, 1015997, 1/4 Chilean, 3/4 Peruvian
Take a look at this girl's fiber stats! Vindaloo has extremely consistent crimp and character throughout her entire blanket including her top knot and belly. The style is super high frequency with a handle you'd be lucky to find in a white let alone a gray animal. The Hemingway traits run strong and deep with this incredible girl.  At just one day over 12 months, which bumped her into the yearling class, she held the attention of the judge and the audience at her fisrt show. She walked away with a Blue Ribbon and ready to walk back in for the Championship round. The Multis and Grays were combined at NIAE 2004 - and Vindaloo took Reserve Color Champ. That was just the beginning.  She went on to the OABA Alpcafest and also took 1st in her class and then took the Gray Color Championship.
Spring of 2005 - the show season begins with KY Classic and another Blue ribbon. On to the AAA Futurity where Vindaloo brought home the red ribbon.
Sire  Maple Brook Fandango, Medium Fawn, 176340, Full Peruvian, SOLD
Yes, it's true; Mile High Alpacas has agreed to sell Maple Brook Fandango to Eloise Robbins of Gold Standard Alpacas located in Pennsylvania. Fandango will remain at Mile High Alpacas - Colorado through 2006. Peruvian Fandango continues to bring us Champions and Blue Ribbon Winners. Fandango also has a very HIGH rate of throwing female offspring. Fandango is a very handsome and masculine stud that stands proud and straight. His head and legs are his most attractive feature. His body structure is very robust and he carries a full topknot and extra large bone structure. His cria so far are drop dead gorgeous and every one is show quality! I would run Fandango through my herd year after year if it wasn't for the need to diversify.

Comments  Born on 9-11-2006 - from the ashes comes HOPE!

Phoenix is everything you would expect from the top Accoyo bloodlines. He is strong, solid, square and has attitude.

His fleece is extremely bright with tiny little locks that are very slick to the touch. Already we can see tiny zipper crimp and a great deal of density. Look at how his fiber cracks and he is only days old in these photos.

Yes, we all know Royal Fawn -- all the great Champion offspring he has sired - and how he sold for a record breaking price of $600,000 at ten years of age! All of that is quite impressive and adds a great deal to Phoenix's lineage.

The Accoyo lines many are unaware of come from Phoenix's Dam. Accoyo Lolita is a daughter of 4Peruvian Accoyo Presidente 6002. Presidente is a fantastic Accoyo imported from the fourth imports right from Don Julio's Plantel. That is just part of the package. Lolita's is also a Granddaughter of 4Peruvian Accoyo's Juliaca 6035. Both Juliaca and Presidente were exclusive to Canada where you will find Champion offspring and breeders praising both of these fabulous Herd Sires.

Lineage
Dam

Westwool's Accoyo Lolita, White, 844629, Full Peruvian
Lolita is a Full Accoyo which is rare enough, but when I researched her lineage, I found out just how rare she is.  Her Sire is Accoyo's Presidente, Grandsire is Accoyo's Juliaca, and Great Grandsire is Accoyo El Moustachio. Those are just the boys in her line - the Females are just as impressive and exclusive to Canada.  She has been bred to Accoyo Royal Fawn -- the one and only. Yes, sire of hundreds of champions, a male who passes down elite fleece, fineness and luster and now -- the new World Record Breaking Sale at a whopping price of $600,000.  Royal Fawn was just purchased for $600,000.00 and he is ten years old.  She is not for sale at this time.

  3/4 Peruvian
Birth Date  9/16/2006
ARI#  Pending
ARI Color  Bay Black

Comments  End of the year SPECIAL -- price will increase as he matures.

Home Run Babe!!! 3/4 Accoyo BLACK!

His Dam - Carmen - is a Vaccoyo daughter who has produced top offspring year after year. Likada Farms own her daughter, Heartbreaker. Inca Trails purchased her son, Commander, for their Herd Sire. We have her 2005 daughter, Dumplin', and she is part of our show string this fall.

His Sire is our boy - Accoyo The Babe! The Babe may not have many kids on the ground, but it isn't quantity that matters. The Babe's offspring are taking top placement in Level IV and V shows. That is even more impressive when you only have a couple who can even go to the show.

A Three Quarter Accoyo Black is just about impossible to find. This boy is a rare find and has much to offer.

He is True Black on his face, head, neck and from the knees down. Right now, his body seems to be Bay Black, but I have seen that turn to True Black more than a few times. These pictures were taken when he was just born, but look at the beard already showing.

Serious Offers will be considered and partnership may be available.

Lineage
Dam
Victor Vaccoyo's Carmen, Dark Brown, 830017, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian
Carmen, an Accoyo Victor granddaughter, is a very friendly female. She has great conformation and her fiber is dense with a bold crimp and a exceptionally fine handle.  She has a taupey gray patch running from the base of her head and down her neck at least 8 inches. Her 2003 cria is Benchmark's Trecoyo Heartbreaker (see on sold page), a 3/4 Dark Brown Accoyo out of Accoyo Shangri La.  Her 2004 cria is Commander -- he is a big winner in the level V Ohio Alpacafest 2005 and also a Herd Sire for Inca Trails.  Carmen's 2005 cria is Our Trecoyo Dumplin'. Dumplin' is part of our show string for 2006 and is an incredible animal.  Carmen is not for sale and posted only as a reference animal.
Sire  Camilio's Accoyo The Babe, Medium Fawn, 829412, Full Peruvian

Comments  Strong lines on both side of the tree.

He already has tiny - tiny bundles and extreme crimp. This boy will be a blast to show and build up a resume while he prepares to join your herd sire row. Well.... we thought this guy would be a stand out and in his first three shows -- that is just what he did. Marcus claimed First Place in all three and even went on to take Resv Color Champ over all browns and he is a Dark Brown! Impressive boy and he is registered for OABA. How would you like to be the one showing him off at the upcoming Level V Alpacafest?

He has Victor's Vaccoyo on his Maternal side and loads of Silver Gray from both parents.

At this price, Benchmark will retain 4 breedings to Marcus.

Lineage
Dam
Victor Vaccoyo's Anika, Light Fawn, 829562, 1/2 Peruvian, Anika is a friendly and outgoing girl. She is a Victor granddaughter with deep high amplitude crimp, density and fineness (half Accoyo). Anika has a dark fawn spot on her side and dark pigment around her eyes and mouth.  Anika's first cria is Jumpin' Jack Flash (pictured). He is an Accoyo Sandman cria and is darker than both his Dam or Sire. He has so much luster that it looks like you sprinkled gold dust over him.  Anika' 2004 cria weighed in at 23.4 pounds and is a beautiful female by Vengador's Accoyo Tachon. Tachon, a full Accoyo, has amazing presence, dark pigment, and two brown spots. Tachon's Sire sold for $102,000 and his little brother (same Dam) sold at the Parade of Champion Sale 2004 (lot #55) for $89,000 to three breeders and he wasn't even a year old! Their cria is 3/4 Accoyo and she is Fawn!  Anika's 2005 cria is a Medium Brown Male with density, fineness, and little tiny bundles of elite crimp.
Sire   Rhett Butler of the North, Pattern, 817488, Other/Unknown, This boy has presence, conformation, nice typey alpaca head, great top line, unique color, uniform crimp, and comes from a Silver Sire who has many awards under his belt.

(Accoyo Cordero Son)
Sire Type  Huacaya, Unproven
Heritage
  Full Peruvian
Birth Date  7/27/04
ARI#
847803
ARI Color  White

Comments  You know what kind of competition there is for white animals, so only the best should go on to become Herd Sires. Pirate is one of those boys. He is covered from head to toe with bundles - tiny little locks - of uniform crimp. It offers the high frequency crimp with low amplitude. The character is prominent and the handle is wonderful.

His fleece is just half of the package. Pirate is an impressive boy with good bone, topline, coverage, and size. Just looking at him standing in the pasture starts the wheels turning on how he will advance your breeding program.

He is the son of Accoyo Cordero and Pirate carries the Accoyo traits combined with the fineness and elite fleece characteristics from his Dam. He also has color in his background from Locota who is Beige and Escada who is a Medium Fawn.

End of the year special price -- subject to change at any time.

An extraordinary Herd Sire in luxurious Black is now available for breeders looking for the best in the dark colors. Jolly Jack Tar is incredibly dense & crimpy with loads of brightness. He placed above a number of whites in the Bred & Owned class because of his extraordinary fiber character. His fleece was shown at the National Show where he took 2nd place by only one point to the Championship black fleece. This Peruvian boy with Accoyo backing him, is now breeding and ready for your girls. Come see for yourself what the judges are raving about.

ARI Color  Pattern [White & Med. Brown]

Comments

Peruvian Painted Pony is striking. He is solid, proud, and has tiny locks of tightly penciled fleece. He also has that brilliant luster his Sire is known for.

Pony is a full sibling to Whisper Wing's Peruvian Splash. Splash was the Blue Ribbon winner at the 2005 AAA Futurity and there were 11 in her class. Not only did she proudly stand in 1st place, she stood above the full Accoyo who sold at the Futurity Auction for $62,000 the night before.

Another of Pony's maternal siblings is Whisper Wing's Silver Barrie (see sold page). Silver Barrie sold at the 2004 Futurity Auction for $41,500 and she was just 10 months old.

Pony's paternal sister -- Benchmark's Perucoyo Blessing, is an incredible Beige, however, I entered her into the white class at the 2003 MAPACA show with over 1400 animals in attendance. Not only did she hold her own against the whites --- she walked away with the Blue Ribbon!

This boy has both show and herd sire potential and will be a blast showing next spring.

Take a look at Felicity's other cria -- two of them are full siblings to Bo. All of Felicity's offspring have been Champion or Blue ribbon winners at major shows.

Partnership may be considered, please contact us to discuss.

Dam  CODI's Peruvian Madeleine 1361, Medium Brown, 817339, Full Peruvian
Peruvian Madeleine is a proven Dam and throws show winning cria that sell.
Her 2003 cria is Silver Barrie, a full Peruvian Dark Silver Gray with NO WHITE! At just 10 months old, Silver Barrie was selected for the Celebrity Sales Breeders Auction and sold for $41,500.  Her 2004 cria, Peruvian Spalsh -see sold page, is a fantastic Appaloosa with blinding luster and great twisted locks. Splash went on to place first at none other than the AAA Futurity in 2004 under Jude Anderson. There were 14 in her class and she shined like a little star and stood over the Full Accoyo that sold for $62,000 the night before at the Auction.  Splash's Sire is none other than our Herd Sire, Perucoyo Mostaccioli. Mostaccioli is an Accoyo Papacito son who offers great conformation, locks and tons of luster.  Mostaccioli's first cria, Perucoyo Blessing, took First Place at MAPACA 2004. It was a white class and there were 13 great little girls in the ring with her.
Sire
DPerucoyo Mostaccioli, White, 818860, Full Peruvian
Luster! Locks! Conformation! and Looks! This boy has got it all and he is passing it on to his offspring in a very big way. Unfortunately, since we have so few Suris, Choli doesn't have many cria on the ground, but what he does have is quite spectacular. His 2003 cria is Perucoyo Blessing and she took First Place at the largest show ever held - MAPACA 2004. There were 13 awesome little girls in the ring with her, but her fineness, locks, luster and density won out.  His 2nd cria was born June 7, 2004. Her name is Whisper Wing's Peruvian Splash. She is a beautiful Appy and went to the prestigious AAA Futurity Show in 2005 and placed First under Jude Anderson. There were 12 in her class and she even stood above a full Accoyo girl who sold for $62,000 at the Auction the night before.  Choli has been consistent with passing on little toothpick style locks, bright luster, full coverage, captivating looks, and strong conformation.

What a Prize! Locks, luster, confirmation and color - this full Peruvian bred female will be a spectacular addition to any breeding program. Enhance your Suri breeding program with this exceptional female.  Her Dam is "Autumn Colors", AOBA Fawn Champion '96 and full Accoyo out of Accoyo Uribe (Durazno). Uribe won first place Get of Sire at the 1997 AOBA National Conference and is a producer of elite champion suri offspring. Accoyo Uribe was the #1 pick at the 1994 Peruvian Elite sale.
Autumn's 2nd cria is Autumn's Blessing. Blessing is a white (with fawn head) who took first at the largest show ever held - MAPACA!

Shakespeare is a solid boy in a rich Maroon color -- which isn't even on the ARI color Chart. He is producing 100% suri offspring and 100% color. He has even pulled black from a white Dam.  In our experience, Maroon is dominate and can pull color from much lighter animals. We also find that it is tied to Black and Gray. Braveheart - the Maroon cria pictured here, is from Autumn, our Med Fawn Dam. This year, Autumn delivered a True Black by Shakespeare. His name is Sharpshooter and he is posted on his own page as well.  His bloodlines are strong being a son of Peruvian Silver King and the brother of Silver Marquis!
